EXHIBITION HUTSCHENREUTER JEWELLERY & FORGING BADEN-BADEN
Alexander Hutschenreuter_Jewellery and blacksmiths_Jewellery that reflects meets Nicole Doth_ ‘mirror, mirror on the ....throne’_mirror sculpture_functional art
Precious objects from the house of Hutschenreuter have their very own style, which is primarily inspired by Bauhaus architecture, classical and modern art and travelling. The bold and powerful designs are always unique pieces and are characterised through and through by sophisticated goldsmithing.
Both artists, who create outstanding masterpieces in their respective ‘disciplines’, combine their individual strengths and visions through the common medium of mirrors.
This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of traditional and modern art and create unique artworks that ‘transform’ both the space and the person.
You are welcome to visit the showroom in Baden-Baden. We look forward to seeing you. Nicole Doth & Alexander Hutschenreuter

REFLECTION - BERMEL VON LUXBURG GALLERY
The etymology of the word REFLECTION has a double meaning in this exhibition. To "reflect" the fact means to think, to consider, to analyse and to look inwards. We live in very particular times with their economic instabilities, wars, cultural conflicts, migrations, social upheavals, uncertainties... The second meaning is to reflect an image or a meaning. The Bermel von Luxburg Gallery wants to send a message of light in dark times and give hope with this exhibition.
It is also the expression of a cultural dialogue to promote peace in the world. Marios Ngassam is also a specialist and curator of the Contemporary African Art Market. This group exhibition reflects a cultural group exhibition between contemporary African art, Western and Asian art. BvL is pleased to present a wonderful selection of international artists:

SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE WAR
“Slava Ukranini” – Hahn
Since the beginning of the war, the whole of Ukraine has been under constant missile attacks, bombardments and shelling.
In the suburb of Kviv, Borondianka, one of countless civilian building complexes was bombed and almost completely destroyed in March. Almost nothing remained of the building. Only an interior wall with a kitchenette hanging from it was still standing.
Within hours, the image of this kitchen unit was all over Ukraine - because on the kitchen unit was a typical Ukrainian ceramic piece from the 60-70s: a cockerel.
These ceramic taps were made by a clay firing master from a suburb of Kviv and are known throughout Ukraine.
The rooster defies the hail of bombs and explosions and remains steadfast. It screams. It shakes things up. It protects. It resists every aggressor.
Immediately after the pictures of the rooster went around the world, it became a symbol of Ukrainian resilience and the solidarity of Ukrainians within the country. President Zelensky and Prime Minister Boris Johnson also received such ceramic cockerels as gifts from the Ukrainian people.
As a sign of German-Ukrainian friendship, Alwin Maigler purchased such a ceramic tap in the Ukraine.
Together with the auction house EPPLI, this cockerel will be auctioned off during the exhibition period. All proceeds will go to the aid organisation STELP.
With the kind support of the artist Nicole Doth (dont be afraid of art), the Ukrainian rooster is now enthroned on one of her mirrored pillar works. In the context of this exhibition, the column is intended to stimulate personal reflection. Where do I stand right now? Where am I in life? Could I also be one of the stories portrayed in this exhibition?

FAIR
REPORT ON NICOLE DOTH
SIMULATED REALITY AND VIRTUAL PERCEPTION,... GREAT PLEASURE OR DANGER FOR TOMORROW?
"Nice gimmicks" you hear the voices of some visitors. Colourful particles, dots, like elementary particles, standing in virtual space, like fine dust particles made visible, nanoparticles or viruses and bacteria, ... - particles standing in space, floating, ... - existent! Made visible virtually, and you walk through the picture, through the smart shot of an analogue artwork by Thomas Heinlein, through space full of particles, UNBELIEVABLE!
If one were to set in motion, accelerate, give the particles a push or spin, spin, set in motion like spinning tops, what would happen? How would one be distorted oneself? Visually deceived? - All just illusion? Or perhaps more realistic than one suspects? Only digitally visualised?
A mental leap to the latest news leads to the particle accelerator! CERN has just been restarted, we read. It will take 8 months until the LHC is running at full power again.
What is virtually animated is brought out of invisibility, made visible, simulated!? and one learns.
With the digital in their luggage, art lovers can discover new possibilities and virtual art for the walls comes along on large screens that are sometimes hung upright, so that it seems clear that the destination is not intended for television consumption. (Maybe.)(Actually?) - On the other hand, (small) smart devices no longer have a fixed top and bottom, depending on the posture. The coordinate system is space-variable and the smart device owner becomes his own astronaut, holding apparent weightlessness in his hands.
Weightless, freed from space and boundaries, the Mirror_Objects by Nicole Doth - dontbeafraidofart - which are called "functional ART". captures everything around it and holds it in a mirror world. A high-back mirror chair in a quarry, or is it a gravel pit (?), is overlooked in the photo (photo art - Aludibond) if you are not prepared for it.
If the mirror artwork were not visibly standing where he is in the exhibition hall, one would not have expected him. Would you have discovered it in the picture? Recognised? ... Addicted to the mirror, in other words: Nicole Doth has given the fascination of mirrors and reflection a very special place, and is thus on the trail of the physical. Lateral thinking is stimulated. The name of the artwork - mirror, mirror on the....throne -. A throne, like a monument. Perhaps set as a memorial.
The artist (master carpenter & designer) from southern Germany Nicole Doth not only stages individual works of art with her mirror collection, but also room installations are her metier. And since nature and the environment are also part of the space, she immortalises her hand-signed unique pieces in artful photographs in precisely these rooms. The artist often uses the places of placement to communicate a socially critical context - she calls on people to "look more closely".
In collaboration with Georg Hendricks is also reflected in the digital world. The "DigiProfi" develops (programmes for) digital works of art. Not advertisements, or texts, as one is used to in public, but works of art that draw themselves anew again and again. Perhaps following a random principle, it seems, only the shape is predetermined,... the colours change (apparently) dynamically! A cubistically measured nude, not divided up into pressure points, not into pixels, but many times geometrically triangular, becomes a work of art that could shorten waiting time. Time is lifted out of its strict division when one loses oneself in observing the work and begins to ask how it actually works. What algorithms are behind it, what theoretical methods, what infinite elements? And while you are still looking, with your gaze jumping back and forth between reality and mirror, the star lamp by top designers VANORY from Karlsruhe rotates on a mirror column on the far left, matching the mood. "Moving atmosphere" by vanory (vanory.com), which can be switched with different effects depending on the mood, and whose special feature is the gathering of the material, which turns points of light into sparkling stars. The surrounding transparent shell, perhaps glass, perhaps plexiglass, perhaps polymer chains,... one has forgotten to ask, is no longer perceived. It is only a shell for the orderly sea of starlight that rotates in its space, electrically driven. Mirrored in the "mirror tower" (by dontbeafraidfofart) on which it stands.
The special nature of mirrors is not taken up in art as often as the material deserves. This makes the combination of virtual art with Nicole Doth's mirror artworks all the more impressive. A work of art suddenly doubles, multiplies, and you are immersed in the object without being able to prevent it. If you get too close, space is seemingly stretched, expanded and enlarged. Perhaps the inconspicuous is multiplied and one stands before arrangements as if in the middle of a magic box. Reality is fragmented and torn apart. A new world emerges, glass puzzled, metal mirrored, broken into splinters. The sight is distantly reminiscent of visits to the hall of mirrors.
The old harbour quarter in the shadow of the modern glass facades on the tidal Elbe canals, bearing the marks of storm tides and high water, where the cobblestones show bores, as typical of some sea snails and mussels (barnacles, for example) is "time-honoured". A Hamburg gem, not far from the Deichtorhallen, with typical Hanseatic brick Gothic architecture. Worth a visit, even if you're not looking for new impulses from the arts. The old is appreciated through the link with modernity and thinking ahead to a new time. A more sustainable time. A more life-conscious time. Hopefully. The quarter is a small oasis where tradespeople and food specialists have set up shop, enticing you to find something special. The icing on the cake that reflects one's own character and doesn't make the time seem unbearably long. Linger for a long time.
Boredom is a word that perhaps the younger generation hardly uses anymore. The digital possibilities and temptations are so numerous and diverse that you become a creative value creator yourself. Not always for oneself, but definitely for all those to whom one plays digitally.
INC DIGITAL.LAB, right next to Nicole Doth and Georg Hendricks, proves what wonderful creations can come from digital creativity. Both space-saving, running as a film on a large screen in portrait mode, programmed in Python, as you read on the monitor, and printed out for a "still" behind glass on the wall. Digital art & NFTs have become an elementary part of digital art and it is impossible to imagine time without them. Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), whatever abbreviations are used in modern times, digital development, design and simulation have been going on for years... at the latest since the possibilities of diving into the matrix by means of "deep dive", the awareness of normality has changed.
Michel Schneider shows AI art that seems to emphasise the importance of strings above all else in the presentations shown. Macro optics of fibres are illuminated. Illuminated. One imagines that the works might have an impact in other areas. Fabrics and fibres that can be illuminated and change on the skin. Perhaps responding to the energy of the individual, perhaps responding to heat radiation, perhaps interacting. Bidirectional. Absorbing and giving off energy. Influencing and "mindchanging" What would be the significance of such possibilities?
Transparent covers, such as those of the light enclosure of VANORY, Organza and silk, the labour of nature's helpers in spinning nets and fabrics are revealed at the Incorporating Art Fair, and a thought-provoking stroll through the fair allows one to grasp the world in its entirety and perhaps begin to comprehend it. The significance of the Hanseatic city through its international trade and the insights gained from the mutual influence of globalisation and international interdependencies can be experienced here. The art event offers deep insights into the bright as well as the dark sides of international trade. War is left out of the picture. Consciously? Unconsciously? Perhaps one thinks so: War has no place in sustainable efforts to find international solutions to the pressing issues of the day.
As far as the globe is concerned, everyone is in the same boat and the signs of the times are clear. In the back rooms of the world, people are debating and orating, discussing transparency or concealment, and hoping for solutions that will make everyday life easier and more bearable and make life more satisfying for everyone. The old values are being put to the test, the old world still seems to be trying to make a last stand, but the youth has already occupied the first chairs and a new era has dawned. Bits and bites, digital mobilisation and the disenchantment of smart possibilities are taking hold. Where is the journey heading? Who will keep up technologically? Who is in control? Remote! The magic word that describes the power with which every individual can be controlled and manipulated. What is already feasible today, who has what knowledge, what know-how and how can ONE world function in harmony?
Progress can be seen as both a curse and a blessing. Digital dependence makes people transparent. There seem to be no more places of retreat. No more living spaces that function disconnected from the networks of this world. And a look at the planet from the outside shows how much the changes have accelerated. Is it the accelerated particles that are involved? One could learn from the experiences that others have already made.
Does every nation, every individual need to feel the experience first hand? 1968 - a Silicon Valley - drought and aridisation - water scarcity and a rebellion of nature ... The Incorporating Art Fair provides much food for thought for the future. It is up to everyone to draw their own conclusions.
We thank Crelala for this great report! | Bella Kilian for the wonderful photos.

PREMIERE - vanory & don't be afraid of art - in Karlsruhe
For her "functional art", the master carpenter uses smart luminaires from the Estelle product family, which are not only to be seen as everyday objects, but also as functional aesthetics. This perspective removes the passive role of the luminaire and makes it clear that it is more than just light. Colour-changing lighting moods create a subtle, inspiring, artistic atmosphere in the room. In this way, artist Nicole Doth wants to point out that besides pure function, the expression of aesthetics and art plays an increasingly important role.
vanory has developed a special edition lamp for the "Schwein gehabt" cultural festival together with the artist and master carpenter Nicole Doth, which will be presented as a premiere at this event together with other exhibits on 21.05.2022 at "Alte Schlachthof 27, 76131 Karlsruhe", at vanory GmbH. The unique special edition lamp is also available in the shop.
